QLD Government COVID-19
A Queensland Government’s website containing information regarding COVID-19. Information ranges from health advice, to vaccine information and testing.

A government-funded service providing information and resources relating to COVID-19.

General Health Services

Health Direct - 1800 022 222
A government-funded service providing quality, approved health information and advice. Call this number to speak to a registered nurse about your health concerns. The hotline is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Preventative Health and Health Screening Programs

National Bowel Screening Program
The National Bowel Cancer Screening Program is a free Australian Government initiative that helps detect bowel cancer early through a simple at-home test for eligible people aged 45 to 74.

BreastScreen Australia Program
Two-yearly mammograms for women aged 50–74, with free access also available for women aged 40–49 and those over 74. Appointments can be made through the national BreastScreen service.

Mental Health Services

Lifeline - 131 114
Contact Lifeline for support if you are experiencing a personal crisis or have suicidal thoughts. You can call them 24 hours a day, 7 days a week from anywhere in Australia.

Beyond Blue - 1300 224 636
Beyond Blue provides information and support to help everyone in Australia achieve their best possible mental health, whatever their age and wherever they live.

Headspace - 03 9027 0100
Headspace is a support service for young people. It covers a critical gap, by providing tailored and holistic mental health support to 12–25 year olds.

Kids Helpline - 1800 551 800
Kids Helpline provides a free, private and confidential phone and online counselling service for young people aged 5 to 25. The service is available 24 hours a day from anywhere in Australia.
