Results, Recalls and Reminders

Results and Recalls

If a doctor requires a follow-up appointment to discus results you will receive and SMS from our service provider called HotDoc. The SMS will include a hyperlink that will direct you to a HotDoc webpage where you can authenticate your identity. After successfully verifying your identity, you will gain access to the recall information and have the option to schedule an appointment online for a discussion regarding these results with your doctor. Please refer to the video below that shows the process.

A recall appointment is scheduled to facilitate a patient follow-up and discussion of results. Our doctors monitor all requested results. For further information regarding how we may contact you and how to opt out of specific methods of communication, please refer to the Practice Communication page.

Depending on who requests the recall appointments and the nature of the results a consultation fee may incur. When booking a recall appointment please book this with the doctor that ordered the results initially. Please call reception should this doctor be unavailable.

Reminders

Reminder appointments are for repetitive health checks. These appointments may be used to manage on going health issues (chronic disease management plan) or to organise a health screening (health assessment, cervical screening or skin checks, etc.). These reminders are entered into our system and a SMS message sent when the patient is due for one of these health checks.
